Preamble
Data from E10 and Daily is commonly synchronised to one or more other third-party applications by schools. These include student management / learning management, reporting and administrative systems. The Tes integration team works with these other systems to make sure that the data we provide is sent in a format agreed upon by both parties. This document outlines the synchronisation process to SEQTA and our feature compatibility with their application.

While Tes takes all care to ensure any mention to the other system is correct and up to date, it is the user's responsibility to check with the other system prior to an initial sync. If the user becomes aware of any changes to the other system, we would very much appreciate this feedback.
Type of sync
This sync exports 4 named csv files which align with the import options available in SEQTA. See the bottom of this document for more details on the contents of each.
- TTDetail.CSV
- TTDetailChanges.CSV
- TTStuCls.CSV
- TTSubCls.CSV
Which data is sent to the other system?
This table lists many of the data types and features found in Tes Timetable and to the best of our knowledge, whether they are compatible with the other system.

Note that while Tes Timetable has many excellent features to help users build high quality timetables, not all third-party systems have built the capability on their end to process/display these features.

Other important information
To be able to export the files you must firstly complete the period mapping in the Timetable file under File > Synchronise > Configure > Seqta (CSV) > Other > Edit. Once the mapping has been completed please sync your timetable file to the Edval web server (Timetable Daily). For the user guide on how to configure SEQTA in E10 please click here
Steps to synchronise data
Step 1: First time setup
If this is your first sync from either of our products, make sure you have fulfilled any prerequisites outlined by Seqta.
Step 2: Configure the Daily Sync
- Go to Daily > Synchronise and click on “Add sync system”
- Select “Seqta Flat file” from the drop down
- Within the Seqta configuration screen you will have 3 or 4 options if you are a multi-grid/campus to tick:OptionsDetailOutput yard dutiesIf you would like your timetable yard duties to be included in the exportOutput unavailabilitiesif you would like your teacher unavailability to be included in exportOutput admin IDIf you would like to output the admin id instead of the teacher code (in Admin>Users)Output all campuses together, with TimetableGrp columnThis option will be only available if you have a multi-campus school.
Campus mapping is required so that the Daily data is directed to the correct campus in SEQTA. Tick the option to enable mapping and enter your SEQTA timetable names into the corresponding fields. Example below:
- Click “Save” once you have made the selection
Step 3: Perform the Daily sync
There are two sync methods available to SEQTA in Daily, these are the basic and advanced sync. They both provide the same level of data, however the basic method exports all files into a zip folder and the advanced allows you to choose individual files without a zip folder.
Advanced Sync
- Go to Daily > Synchronise and Select “Seqta Flat file”. Click on “Advanced Sync”
- Please select the date range and the data that you would like to export or you can tick 'Select all' to select all the optionNote: The "Publish teacher and room changes" call does not include admin staffs changes as those staff are not able to be assigned classes or covers.
- Click the “Sync” button to export the flat files that you have selected in the above screen, they will be downloaded by your internet browser.
Basic Sync
- Go to Daily > Synchronise and select the Seqta Flat file.
- Select Basic sync from the actions panel.
- Enter the dates required.
- Click the “Sync” button to export the flat files that you have selected in the above screen, they will be downloaded by your internet browser.

Note: As SEQTA is an export rather than a traditional internet sync the Publish and Sync option from the Covers page does not trigger the file export.
The below table explains the contents of each csv file contains when exported.
