TABLE OF CONTENTS

Preamble

This Edval report will compare two timetable files and report the differences. Files do not need to be saved to use the Compare files function.

File > Compare files

Navigate to File > Compare files.

It is possible to compare:
  1. the current open .etz file with another saved .etz file or
  2. the current open .etz, with unsaved changes, with its last saved version.
Select either.

The 'Print 'marked up' timetables, if changed' allows you to easily print just the timetables for teachers and/or rooms who have been affected by the changes upon closing the Action log. This includes the option to print the timetables side-by-side or to show Class codes or Subject names.

The itemised report of changes includes the following options:

  • Requirements: changes to room data and subject room sets, class data
  • Student data: Additions & deletions, changes to subject enrolments and student data
  • Staffing changes: Additions & deletions, changes to teacher data, subject teacher sets, staff allocations
  • Timetable changes: lessons changing period, teacher or room
  • Timetable changes (csv): when ticked, lessons changing period, teacher or room are automatically exported to a .csv, and can be saved.

The report also lists who is affected by the changes:

The differences listed in the Action log can be Copied to clipboard and pasted in e.g. a Word or Notepad.

When you close the Action log, the changed teacher -, student -, room timetables can be printed to your printer or saved as a PDF with the Microsoft print to PDF option.
