Preamble

Yes, a teacher can teach in multiple faculties and still belong to one main faculty.

One main faculty

Each teacher nominally belongs to one main 'Faculty', which is an 'administrative' group of teachers, not a skill set or staffing set. Setup > Faculty data (CTRL-F2)

Teach in multiple faculties

To allow a teacher to take classes from other faculties, simply add them to various 'TeacherSets' in other faculties. Teachers > Subject teachers (SHIFT-F2).

If a class is being allocated to a teacher and that teacher is not in the set for that subject, E10 will prompt if the teacher should be added to that set. The prompt includes the option to add the teacher as a fallback only.

If a class is split (more than 1 teacher) outside its faculty, then E10 will ask if the teacher is to be added to the teacher set, including as a fallback or as an exception (which means that they would not be allocated classes in this set if the classes are later re-auto staffed).
