E10 - How to: Find a teacher in the Duty roster

Modified on Thu, 14 Aug at 12:54 AM

Preamble

Want to find a teacher in the Duty roster? In Duty roster, or anywhere really. We will explain 3 methods on how to find a teacher in your ".etz" file.

METHOD 1

  1. Ctrl+F to jump to the Find window.
  2. Enter their teacher code, or a few characters (only) of their name, and press ENTER.
  3. The teacher timetable (F3) will appear with the duty allocations.
  4. After identifying where the duty assignments are for that specific teacher, select one, and press Shift+F4 to see it with a black outline on the Duty roster.

METHOD 2

Navigate to Teachers > Duty roster (SHIFT-F4) > Duty loads tab
Here, the teachers' duty assignments are shown directly for each teacher.

METHOD 3

An alternative way is to export the Duty roster to Excel (CTRL-X or the Excel icon top-left) and then search (CTRL-F) in Excel to see it. This also helps find teacher codes in the 'unassigned' area - if you really felt so inclined to see these.

Idea

You can also click on Duty roster > View menu: Show staff names as this may be easier to see individuals.
