TABLE OF CONTENTS
Preamble
These tables are very good tools to help analyse which subjects were missed, by how many students, and who missed what courses. It contains 2 tabs: Courses and Preferences. The missed Courses tab is displayed by default.
Navigate to Lines > Line results > View lines > Action: Missed courses & preferences.
Missed Courses
The Missed Courses table displays the number of students who missed each course. Students might miss out on a subject due to it clashing with a higher preference subject, or the class is at capacity.

- This table by default displays highest Interest results first.
- All subjects of the dataset will be included in the report, even courses with zero missed preferences, but are displayed for completeness and to graphically show the number of classes and the colour of the lines they occupy.
- Any manual changes to the line structure will be automatically reflected in this table, such as editing the lines or increasing the number of students per class for a subject.
NOTE
The class size is followed by an asterisk (*) if the class is fully subscribed based on the Courses > MaxS field for this course.
How to use the Missed Courses table

Missed Preferences
The missed preferences table shows the number of students who missed out on a main preference at the preference level.
In the image below, 7 students missed their first preference, 2.5 missed the second preference and so on. Decimals may be seen to account for one unit courses.
- Click the 'Export to Excel' icon in the top right hand corner to print the Missed Preferences table
