TABLE OF CONTENTS
Preamble
Aurora College started as NSW's virtual selective school servicing rural and remote students in Stage 4 and 5. It has grown to encompass a non-selective Stage 6 cohort.
The aim is to allow students to enjoy a depth of study that was not previously available to them. Lessons are delivered online synchronously to students in their school, by teachers in similar settings.

Now that you have constructed your timetable, it is best practice to remove junior level Aurora students from their home school English, Maths & Science classes and enrol them into the appropriate Aurora classes. Senior students will be enrolled in both the home school and Aurora class
Removing Junior Students From Home School Classes
In the example below, the timetable has been constructed and there is an Aurora student in Group A in Year 7. The student is currently enrolled in all home school classes and all class lists are set.
Is it time now to remove the Aurora student from their home school English, Maths and Science classes which can be done navigating to Students > Student data (F8), finding the student and simply deleting the class codes from their list of classes.

The student has been removed from their English, Maths and Science group classes but remain in all others

If you receive the following error message
You will need to untick the automatic Group class list function in Class data (F6) before removing the student:

If you want to untick automatic class lists for an individual class only, simply click on the "See individual classes" checkbox and all Group/Number classes will appear
If schools want to keep Aurora students in their home school classes
Assigning Students to Aurora Classes
Now it is time to enrol the Aurora student into their appropriate English, Maths and Science classes for Junior students as advised by Aurora, or the required senior subjects for senior students.
In the examples below the year 7 student will be in the A1 classes and the year 12 student will be enrolled into the Chemistry Aurora class.
For junior students add the Aurora class codes to the students Class list in Students > Student data (F8):
Then by going to Students > Timetables (CTRL+F8) you can see all Aurora classes scheduled:
For senior students, rather than deleting a class code from Student data (F8), simply add the Aurora class code to the list. This will likely result in a clash on the students timetable as pictured below:
To remove the clash, use the "Priority" function by going to Settings > Classes.
There are several ways to use the priority function;
If you only have the one class that is clashing like this you can add the Aurora class code to the first field like so:
Once the code has been entered the clash no longer appears and all Aurora classes are correctly scheduled:
If you need more information on using the Priority function for multiple classes, please refer to our existing Priority Classes KB document.

Not all third-part systems accept Priority when performing a sync. Please check with your third-party system to be certain

Congratulations you have completed all necessary components of Aurora College for your timetable!
