Preamble

E10 Timetable can sync with App4Software in two ways. The first is through the use of a .csv file which can be exported from Tes and imported into App4Software. The second is a direct connection using LISS. This document will cover the LISS variant of the sync.

E10 Timetable can publish to App4Software:

Students
Teachers
Classes
Class lists (memberships)
Timetable
Rooms

Step 1: Configure the sync

Go to File > Synchronise > Configure
Select the ‘Sync’ sub-tab
Click the plus and select “App4Software (LISS)” from the dropdown

Go to to the ‘Connection’ sub-tab
Ensure that “App4Software (LISS)” is selected in the top-right corner
Input your credentials. App4Software will provide you with the URL, Username, and Password that you need.
You should leave School Code blank.

Go to the ‘Other’ sub-tab and change any options to your preference. You might find the ‘Sync timetable
and class-lists each time you save’ option to be helpful. This will send only the timetable and class
membership data to App4Software every time you save the file.
Most of your configuration information is stored in the Timetable file, so you should save your file now for
this information to be remembered.

Configuring App4Software

There is no special configuration that is required for App4Software. As stated above App4Software will set
up and provide the URL, username and password for the service to work.

Step 2: Perform the Sync

Basic Sync

Basic sync is used for general syncing. An basic sync will publish:

Students
Classes
Class lists (memberships)
Timetable
Rooms
Teachers

To perform a basic sync:

Go to File > Synchronise > Sync Now, and select the ‘Basic’ sub-tab
Ensure “App4Software (LISS)” is selected from the dropdown in the top-right corner
Input the date range you wish to update the App4Software data in and select the rotation you wish to sync
Click “Go” to sync

Advanced Sync

Advanced sync is used to publish specific parts of your data to App4Software. A advanced sync also allows you to publish teachers and rooms.

To perform an advanced sync:

Go to File > Synchronise > Sync Now, and select the ‘Advanced’ sub-tab
Ensure “App4Software (LISS)” is selected from the dropdown in the top-right corner
Select which data you want to publish to App4Software
Input the date range you wish to update the App4Software data in and select the rotation you wish to sync
Click “Go” to sync
