Preamble
Class lists can be displayed, managed and individually exported from Students > Class lists.
View class lists
Select the year level and the class from the Filter menu to view a class list.
View options
Extra information about the students can be displayed by selecting the desired information from the View menu.
Allow students from other years: This displays students from multiple years who are in the selected class.
Show students also in class #2: Enable comparison of class lists and display students who are in two classes. When selected, a second class dropdown will appear beside the original class dropdown. This second dropdown is not visible when the option is not selected. Select the class code of the second class to see any overlap of students across the classes.
Show letter group: Shows the letter group of the student (if letter groups are used).
Show number group: Shows the number group of the student (if number groups are used).
Show teachers + periods + rooms: Displays an extra box showing the assigned teacher, room and the periods the class is running on the timetable (if this data has been completed).
Show gender column: For improved accessibility, the gender of each student can be displayed in an additional column. The gender colour will remain even when this option is not selected.
Displaying student roll call classes
If a ‘wildcard string identifying Roll Classes’ is entered in Setup > School info, an additional column displaying each student’s roll call class will be displayed in the class list table.
Adding or removing students from classes
This screen may be used for data-entry, although it is not the recommended method to add students to classes. There is no cross-checking of the student's other classes and therefore clashes may occur on the student's timetable. In most cases, it would be more prudent to add students to classes in either in the 'Class list manager' or the 'My classes' screens, as to do so here may result in unintended clashes.
- To add a student to a class, type their name or code into the bottom row.
If E10 determines there is only one possibility (based on the first few characters being unique), E10 will auto-complete the name.
If the student is not recognized by E10, or if the student is already in the class, the entry will be cleared, leaving the input cell blank.
If the student is from another year level, first select View > Allow students from other years. - To remove a student from a class, click on the student code, then hit delete on the keyboard.
Copy and paste class lists
Class lists can be easily copied and pasted into another class.
- From the Action bar, select Copy Class List
- Select the target class from the View menu
- From the Action bar, select Paste Class List
- You will be presented with two options:
Merge: This will add the copied class list to the existing class list
Clear: This will clear the current class list and overwrite it with the copied class list

Select the Print or Export to Excel buttons from the top of the screen to print or export a single class list.
To bulk print class lists, go to File > Bulk print > Classes > Class lists.
