E10 - How to: Manage Group class lists

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Group class lists

Classes may be associated with letter or number groups, instead of being placed on lines.
Students may be associated with these letter and number groups.
E10 will automatically setup and update class lists based on these groups, if the subject has been ticked in the Classes > Class data (F6) > [Action bar] Group class lists table.

Scenario:

The students in Year 7 are separated into groups E, D, V, A and L.
The students in each of these groups stay together for the core subjects - English, Maths, Science, HSIE and PDH.
The timetabler ticks all of these subjects in Group class lists.

Chris is in group 7A at the start of the year, so is in classes 7ENGA, 7MATA, 7SCIA, 7HSIEA and 7PDHA.
At some point during the year, Chris is moved out of group 7A and into 7L.
This can be done by changing the letter group in Students > Student data (F8); Students > Class List Manager (F9); or Students > My classes (Shift F9).

E10 automatically moves Chris out of 7ENGA, 7MATA, 7SCIA, 7HSIEA and 7PDHA and into 7ENGL, 7MATL, 7SCIL, 7HSIEL and 7PDHL.
The timetabler has made one simple change - move Chris from 7A to 7L.  E10 has automatically updated 10 class lists.
