TABLE OF CONTENTS

Preamble

The E10 Class List Management functions include the ability to flag pairs of students that you wish to keep together or keep separate.
The Mischievous and Buddy Pairs features involve first establishing pairs of students who should be kept either separated into different classes, or together in the same classes.
If there are situations where these rules are violated, then the violations will be flagged in a report, and action can then be taken to move students into preferred classes.

Mischievous Pairs

Use this option to list pairs of students that who should not be in the same class.
E10 will take these pairs into account when using the 'Populate classes' function. Students will be highlighted with a 'M' after their name in class lists where there is a violation and they are placed in the same class. Different hues of shading are used to distinguish between different pairs of students.
  • Navigate to Students > Class list Manager > Action bar: Mischievous pairs
  • Click on the + button and enter the student's names, including Comments if desired
  • Continue with class list management

Buddy Pairs

Use this option to list pairs of students who should be kept together in the same classes.
E10 will take these pairs into account when using the 'Populate classes' function. Students will be highlighted with a 'B' after their name in class lists where there is a violation and they are placed into different classes. Different hues of shading are used to distinguish between different pairs of students.
  • Navigate to Students > Class list Manager > Action bar: Buddy pairs
  • Click on the + button and enter the student's names, including Comments if desired
  • Continue with class list management

Notes
1. If you have a group of students requiring a rule, then each pair/combination needs to be entered.
For example, with a group of 4 students named A,B,C,D pairs need to be set up for A:B, A:C, A:D, B:C, B:D, C:D in order to highlight all instances.
2. You can also enter pairs that includes a Teacher and a Student.
This is useful for schools where you might want to keep a staff member from teaching their child who is a student at the school.

Mischievous / Buddy Pair Report

This report serves to summarise the students that do not meet the established pairing rules. Navigate to Students > Class list Manager > Action bar: Report
