Priority classes
When students have class list clashes, they generally go to a more 'important class' any time there is a clash. This feature allows you to specify 'which' subjects are more important than others. An example may be that a Support class trumps others or that Extension classes trump others. It is rare to have more than one priority subject, as this is specifying which class to attend out of a possible three-way clash in class lists, or where an important subject should trump one but not another subject. This feature allows you to extract students to some occasional activities (Violin), or classes (Extension Maths), while ensuring class lists are always accurate and rolls are always accurate.
Timetable priority in E10 follows this hierarchy:
- Exams: Priority -9 (Highest)
- Other events (excursions, incursions): Priority -1
- Cyclical classes: Priority 0..9, specified in E10. Default: 9.
- Supervision events: Priority 10 (lowest).

Low priority classes
When a student is enrolled in a VET and an Elective class occurs during the same periods, their timetable will display both classes. If the Elective course is entered in the Low priority field, only the VET class will show on the student's timetable.
"Year structure" screens checked as okay?
Before results are sent for processing or for construction to take place, years need to be 'signed off' after checking everything in the 'Year Structure' screen. This item is a shortcut to mark year-levels as checked.
This can also be done in 'Classes > Year Structure'. Click on the arrow in the blue tab on the right hand side of the screen and select > Sign Off'.
