E10: Staff Supply/Demand Help

Modified on Thu, 14 Aug at 12:59 AM

Line Staffer Screen

This screen shows a 'matching', meaning listing supply and demand for staffing to see if you are likely to have enough teachers of each type. Teachers may change from one half of a class to another but this will be fixed at construction time. Unmatched classes at the bottom of the screen need to be fixed.

Cells marked as '#' account for the difference between the teacher's 'MaxLoad' and the total number of periods, plus any allowances and classes hardcoded to the teacher. The breakdown is not displayed, only the result of the multiple of the 'number of periods per unit'.  Lower year-level classes are in white. As many classes with equivalent requirements are combined in attempts to form blocks of the same number of periods-per-cycle as the elective lines, the class codes you see are only a rough approximation of what the object represents.

Usage

Move a class from one teacher to another by moving it up or down (coloured objects only move vertically). Move a '#' from one sub-line to another by moving it across (these move only horizontally).

Press 'P' to pin or unpin a cell.  Also, objects are pinned automatically any time you manually move them.

However, note that any work you do here is lost as soon as you exit the screen - this is because this screen is used only for debugging/analysing your requirements, and elective lines are highly fluid objects anyway.
