TABLE OF CONTENTS

Room Changes made by Teachers

Teachers with a role that includes the permission 'Edit own rooms' or 'Edit own rooms and equipment' are able to make room changes via their timetable. For more information on this, see the Knowledge Base article  "Timetable Daily: Room Changes and Bookings by Teaching Staff"

Multiple Room Changes made by the Daily Organiser

It is recommended that for multiple room changes, an event is created so that the room changes can be managed via the Covers table.

Room Swaps made by the Daily Organiser

There are two methods for a Daily Organiser to create a room swap in Timetable Daily - via the Room Swaps tab and via the Alternatives window.

1) Room swaps via the 'Room swaps' tab.

  1. Navigate to Daily > Home > Room Swaps
  2. Click on the green 'Create room swap' button in the Actions panel
  1. In the 'Create room swap' window that opens, select the required date, period and staff member and enter a reason if applicable. This will display a list of available rooms for the selected period. If the teacher does not have a class in that period, no data will display.

  1. Select the desired room and click Save
  2. The room swap information will appear in the table and will be included on the Daily Bulletin

2) Room swaps via the Alternatives window

Room swaps can now be done via the alternatives window when assigning a teacher to a cover.  This is useful if the covering teacher is not qualified to teach in the assigned room.
  1. Navigate to Daily > Home
  2. Select the class that requires the room swap.
  3. In the Alternatives window that opens, in the information panel at the top, click on the room code.

  1. This will open the Room change window. Enter a reason if required. Select 'Show room list.

  1. From the window that opens, select the desired room.

  1. Click Save. The room swap information will now be displayed on the Daily Bulletin.
