Timetable Daily - Synchronisation to Daymap via Direct Connection

Timetable Daily is now able to synchronise data to Daymap.  Synchronisation can occur in a number of ways:
  1. Publish and Sync: by selecting the 'Publish covers' action from the Covers page. 
  2. Basic sync: sends rooms, students, teachers, classes, class lists and cyclical timetable data for selected dates. 
  3. Advanced sync:  data which is to be sent can be selected from a set of options

Synchronisation Set up

Add Sync System

  1. Go to  Daily > Synchronise

  1. Choose 'Add sync system'  
  • Select Daymap from the system dropdown.
     
  1. Fill in the following details:
     - Server Address
     - Username
     - Password
     - School code
If unsure of any of the above details please contact Daymap
  • Test that the connection is successful with 'Test connection'.
  • Select 'Save' to complete the configuration set up.

Delete Sync System

To delete the Daymap synchronisation pathway, select the Daymap sync config and use the 'Delete sync system' action which will become active when a sync config is selected.
       

Synchronising

Publish and Sync

Syncing  the daily changes, including class covers, room changes, lesson cancellations and events can be done from the Covers page. This type of sync through publishing will send  classes, class lists and daily changes. 
  • From the Covers page, choose Publish covers
  • Select 'Publish and Sync'
  • Enter sync dates and email preferences
  • Select 'Publish'

Basic and Advance Syncs 

To complete an basic or Advance sync go to Daily > Synchronise.

Basic Sync
An Basic sync will send rooms, students, teachers, classes, class lists and cyclical timetable data for selected dates
To perform an Basic sync
  1. Go to Daily > Synchronise  and select the Daymap configuration
  2. Select Basic sync from the actions panel
  3. Enter the dates required
  4. Select Sync to complete the process.

Advance Sync

The Advance sync allows you to choose which data to immediately push through to Daymap. This feature is useful if you want greater control over which data is to be sent.
To perform a advance sync:
  1. Go to Daily > Synchronise  and select the Daymap sync configuration
  2. Select 'advance sync' from the actions panel.
  3. Select the  data that is required to be sent
  4. If requested by Tes support, select 'Create support log file' to generate a log that can be used to analyse any issues
  5. Select 'Sync' to complete the process.       

Alert
Note: A warning message will appear when a sync is attempted before cover data has been published.
This warning is shown for the first date in the date range for which covers have not been published.
