Interviews: Overview and Suggested Timeline

Timetable Interviews is a simple-to-use yet very powerful online scheduling program for Parent-Teacher Interviews and similar events.
It features and specialises in:

Event setup and management
Event resource allocation and mapping
School-Parent communication
Parent preference collection
Special booking requests
Two booking modes: Manual or Automated Scheduling
Event reports and statistics

Tes understands that making appointments for school events can range from straightforward bookings to very complex arrangements. Thus, to effectively cater for all types of events and users, Timetable Interviews is offered in 2 tiers:

1. Timetable Interviews Essential

This allows a school to set up simple events and lets parents book appointments instantly. These types of event are referred to as Booking Mode events.

2. Timetable Interviews Professional (Recommended)

Professional includes all the features and functions of Timetable Interviews Essential, plus more advanced capabilities, such as collecting parent preferences (i.e. availability times and teachers they want to see), and then creating a schedule that is efficient and fair to all involved. It works best for events involving a large number of interviews with more complex requirements, and is known as Timetabling Mode.

Suggested timeline

The following timeline is a suggestion only, but will allow time for each step to be completed thoroughly and to solve any issues that may arise during the process.

5 weeks	Source Family data from external system and upload
4 weeks	Set up event
3-4 weeks	Teachers log in and enter their Unavailability times and mark Priority students
3 weeks	Communicate with Families about the event
2-3 weeks	Families log in and enter their availability times, and select teachers they wish to see, or simply book times
1 week	Generate the schedule (when using Timetabling mode)
1 week	Communicate schedules to parents
Up to one day	Allow parents to make manual bookings or swap their appointments around
1 day	Set the event to 'View only' mode
