TABLE OF CONTENTS

Preamble

Within most Edval screens the following keyboard shortcuts can be used;

Ctrl+PAGEUP: Increase the font one point.

Ctrl+PAGEDOWN: Decrease the font one point

Ctrl+Z or Alt+BACKSPACE: Undo (very limited in data-entry views)

F1: Context-sensitive help

Ctrl+P: Print the current screen

Ctrl+X: Export the current screen to Excel

Ctrl+UP/DOWN: Cycle through choices in a cell

ESC: Quit the help screen or the current view

Shift+DEL: Cut

Ctrl+C or Ctrl+INS: Copy

Ctrl -V or SHIFT+INS: Paste

Home: Move to the first column

End: Move to the last column

Clearing:

To clear a cell before typing in it, hit SHIFT-DEL. Or click on the cell, and use <Backspace>.  If you click on a cell, that is the first (main) column in a screen, and then press <Delete>, you will lose the whole row, so be careful.

Copying:

To copy a value down a column, hit ctrl-C (copy) and then repeatedly hit ctrl-V (paste) for as many cells as you want (or ctrl-INS and shift-INS).

Dragging / Moving objects:

You can also use the mouse for moving and dragging objects.

Double-clicking:

A double-click in a column heading will usually sort on that column.  A right-button-click in a column heading will hide or unhide that column.

F1 (Context Help):

However, note that you should read the context-sensitive help (F1) for each screen for more detailed instructions.
