TABLE OF CONTENTS

Preamble

Once submitted, student preferences will be downloaded into the etz file. This can be done as many times as the user likes, while the form is open or closed.
  1. Navigate to Lines > Elective data > Students
  2. Select the desired dataset
  3. Go to the Action bar: Download student choices from Edval Choice

Info

If using a multi year dataset, each year level must be downloaded separately.

Information that is downloaded into the .etz file include:
  1. Pathway (if the school has set up pathways)
  2. Preferences, both main and reserves
  3. Total units requested
  4. Submit time

Common questions and issues:

Q: The students' preferences are not displaying in full
A: Check the parameters ( Lines > Elective data > Courses > Action bar: Parameters.)
#Elective lines is equal to the number of main preference columns that display in the Students table.
Note that not all of the columns may be filled if the school set up their online Choice form in such a way for this to occur. This may be fine, or it may indicate an issue. The important thing to check is that E10 understands what is required for students to have a full program when generating lines. The number of courses (or units) that appear in the Main preference section is considered be a full program. If courses equal to 10 units are listed, E10 will try to give the students a program equal to 10 units.
If the main preference section is showing too many courses (units) or too few, the data may have to be manually modified.
