TABLE OF CONTENTS
Preamble
Timetabling data that exists in Timetable files is usually sent on to one or more other non-Tes systems, such as student learning management systems, reporting systems, administration systems, and many more. The Tes integration team works with other systems to make sure that the data required to be sent is in the correct format.
This document can be referenced for:
- New school file set up
- Synchronisation processes
- Synchronisation troubleshooting
While Tes takes all care to ensure any mention of the other system is correct and up to date, it is the user's responsibility to check with the other system prior to an initial sync. If the user becomes aware of any changes to the other system, we would very much appreciate this feedback.
Step 1. Configure the Timechart sync export
IF there is anything missing or requires a chnage, kindly get in touch with the Timechart Support team. If they support the change, a contact with Edval's integration team can be established via edval-integration@tes.com by the Timetchart Support team.
Configuring the sync is usually a one-off setup, but it can be altered at any time.
- In Edval, select File > Synchronise > Configure
- In the Configure tab, select Timechart from the drop-down list of options.

Multiple systems can be set up to sync. It is common to have both the Edvalwebserver and the school's learning management system configured, along with any other systems the school wishes to regurlarly sync to.
- In the Connection tab, select Browse to choose the output destination folder on your computer or network.
- ‘Sync the timetable and class-lists each time you save’ option is helpful. This will send only the timetable and class membership data to Timechart each time you save the file.

Step 2. Sync (export) the data
This step should be performed each time data changes in the timetable file and needs to be sent to Timechart.
- Navigate to File > Synchronisation > Sync now.
- Select Create TT publish file.
- You can navigate to the file location to look at the data if desired.

The information explains what type of data each flat file contains when exported.
