TABLE OF CONTENTS
Preamble
Tes cloud products (Timetable Daily, Timetable Interviews, Timetable Choice) require data to be sent from the Tes timetable file E10 whenever a new timetable commences or whenever changes are made to an existing timetable file.
Steps to synchronise data
Step 1: Set up the "Edval web server" Sync
Configuring the sync is usually a one-off set up, but can be altered at any time.
- In Tes Timetable, select File > Synchronise > Configure
- In the Configure tab, click the + button and choose Edval web server from the drop down list of options and click Configure button
- Go to the ‘Connection’ sub-tab and enter your administrator level webcode, If you do not have your webcode yet please refere to our webcode auto generation webcode document here
- If it is not a shared pc, tick the box 'Save credential on this computer after sync'
- You can tick 'Sync timetable and class lists each time you save' if you would like to sync your timetable to Edval web server automatically everytime you save your file.

Note: The School Code and Academic Year are displayed and cannot be changed.
Step 2: Perform the Sync
- Go to File > Synchronise > Sync now
- Make sure 'Edval web server' is selected at the top right drop down list
- Select all the data types under the Advanced screen and click 'Sync'

If you are trying to select and sync to multiple systems at once under the Configure>Sync
screen but unable to tick as the checkbox is greyed out, it means you haven't selected any data under that system or haven't configured the syncing details yet. Please do click on "Configure" and select the data you wish to sync including adding the syncing credentials.

screen but unable to tick as the checkbox is greyed out, it means you haven't selected any data under that system or haven't configured the syncing details yet. Please do click on "Configure" and select the data you wish to sync including adding the syncing credentials.

Note: The date range only applies to timetable data option and not any other data. Please refer to our documentation here on date concept.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure that your number of rotation and current rotation is set correct in timetable file under the Settings>File
- It is important that the timetable is synced for all school days and that no days are missed as this may cause issues with date mapping. When logging in to Daily after the timetable has been synced for the current day, there will be a warning generated if there are past days for which the timetable has not been synced. When this warning appears, the timetable should be synced for the missed days before continuing. Only timetable data needs to be synced in this case.
- Daily organisers can check the system log in Daily module under Admin > System log to confirm if the data from timetable file has been received by Daily and what type of data has been updated in Daily. If you do not see any updated date in Date column then either that specific data type is not synced from timetable file or there is no change since the first publish date. The table has other importation information such as what type of data has been synced, who synced it, what version of timetable file is, what is the path of the timetable file including the name of the file with date stamp.

If you are using the Import unavailability’s from E10 Timetable files option in Setting>Teachers, please refer to the E10 - ADMIN Settings: Teachers for more information regarding the Import unavailability’s from other E10 Timetable files option.
