The Students tab lists the students involved in the event.

+Add/Remove students:
Students can be removed from the event, and added back in, if required.
Remove students by clicking on the red cross to the right of their name.
To add a student back into the event, click on + Add/Remove students and tick the box next to their name, then select Update.


Removing students once preferences have been submitted will clear their submissions. Only remove students if you're sure they are no longer required to attend. A temporary option would be to remove their email address from family data so they don't receive any communications as they stay in an event.
Import students:
Occasionally schools may need to add students to event classes who do not exist in the timetable file. These students and their family information can be imported via three separate .xlsx files.
Note that this does not need to be done during an event set up, the Administrator may return to this screen at an appropriate time to upload this information.

Click on the format link to see how the files should be formatted.

Click on the + to add the files. All three files should be added at the same time.
Click on 'Upload all files' to complete the upload. A warning will be displayed if there are errors in any of the files.

Clicking on the 'Show' link will display the errors.

These errors will need to be corrected in the files and the correct files uploaded again.

Important: the classes (CLASSCODE) must already exist in the .etz file and appear in the Classes tab for students to be added to these classes.
When all files have been validated, click on 'Update' to import the data.
Family


Family + only displays if Family data has already been uploaded, or, if the event wizard has been completed and you re-enter this screen.
If the Administrator wants to check the associated family for any student, it can be done so here by clicking on the + to open the family associated with the student. Families may be checked or unchecked to associate or disassociate the student from the family.


If the Interview event has already been set up online prior to adding/removing teachers, students and classes to the .etz file, a 'yellow warning icon' will appear on the Events page to alert the Administrator to a change in data received from the ETZ file post a sync from the ETZ file to the Edval web server.
The Administrator will also receive an email of a change of data.
If the Administrator is confident that theses changes can be accepted, edit the Interview event, and select 'Yes, accept changes'.
Please make sure that you do not accept the changes if the Event status is Parents preference, Generate schedule and Open to book

Changing a student's name will not affect the event and will not result in the 'yellow warning icon'.
