Class data - Rotations (Rot)

Modified on Thu, 14 Aug at 12:44 AM

In E10, each period of time for which a class runs is called a rotation.  Rotations may coincide with semester and term durations or run for a set number of weeks.

Specify rotations for classes that do not run for the whole year by entering one or more 'rotations' in this column.

Up to 12 rotations may be defined and there may be multiple rotations for a class. The rotations need to be considered in all years of the file.

 Example 1

If just Yr7 rotate their TAS classes, doing 1 subject per term, set up 4 rotations.  Assign the rotation number to each class by entering a value in the Rot column.

 Example 2

If Yr 7 have 2 rotations for Humanities, Yr 8 have 3 rotations for Language, and Yr 9 have 4 rotations for Art/Tech define 12 rotations.   Assign the rotation to each class as follows:

The current rotation is read automatically in Daily, based on the rotation start dates set up in the calendar.  However, be sure to manually change  the  rotation in 'Settings > File ' in the .etz file.

This Column is optional. Show/Hide via View > Rotation Group
