Choice: Online Choice administration features overview

There are a number of great online features related to the Choice online module. This document provides an overview of the features, and each feature has it's own detailed document.

Logging in

The online Choice features are found by logging onto my.edval.education with your admin WebCode. For those who are using E10 software to build the timetable, this WebCode is the same one that was used to sync the Choice forms. Additional users can be set up so that they can be given a WebCode to view the online features also.
A different WebCode is required for each year's database, so use the corresponding WebCode for the data you wish to see.

Online functions

There are four menu items appearing in the Choice drop down list:
  1. Dashboard
  2. Forms
  3. Document templates
  4. Reports

1. Dashboard


The landing page is called the Dashboard and provides some summary details of the Choice forms, including the last ten students who entered selections, and graphs from each form showing the popularity of subjects/sports.





2. Forms




The Forms page provides a great deal of information and capability, such as:

  1.  Course popularity: See which courses are being selected by students.
  2. List of submitted forms: View students who have submitted choices, along with their submissions. Submission forms can be emailed or printed from this screen.

  3. List of not submitted formsView students who have not yet submitted choices. Students can be emailed information and a reminder to make their selections.

  4. Act as Student: Staff can make submission with, or on behalf of, students, such as where schools who like to meet with students and submit their choices together, or where students do not have internet available elsewhere.

  5. Communicate: Communicate to students before, during or after the subject selection periods.

3. Document templates

Set up personalised templates to email students or print letters.

4. Reports

View Choice reports, such as the submission history of students.
